Please join us at the opening reception of our Inaugural Pop-up Show at Goodman Arts Centre.

Date: June 20 (Friday)
Time: 7 – 9 pm
Venue: The Gallery at Goodman Arts Centre
90 Goodman Road, Block B #01-08

We are proud to present the works of eight emerging Asian artists from China, Indonesia and Singapore. Participating artists include Allison Low, Arkiv Vilmansa, Cheng Yi, Ding Wenqing, KC Gan, Kevin Tan, Liu Qinglu and Zhao Shuhong.

Deconstruction as a theory is not an easy one to grasp. One central idea is that “meaning is not static but constantly shifting according to your point of view”. We would like to invite you to interact with the works and decipher them based on your own viewpoint, because in theory, there is no axiom and anything is possible.

The show will feature oil on canvas, acrylic on boards, mixed media, contemporary Chinese ink, lithography and assemblage. The subject matters range from urban landscape to childhood memories, and the palettes from psychedelic to monochrome. Whether these works depict an existentialist state of affairs, an era long gone, or a reminiscential poetry, we would like you to seek your own meanings and complete the loop yourselves. Whatever the interpretations are, they are more legitimate than any claim to a universal idea of truth.

The show will held till 22 June. Do pop by between 20 and 22 June if you are unable to join us at the opening reception.

Calling all art lovers!

Please feel free to invite your friends who are art enthusiasts or collectors, whether novice or seasoned, to our very first pop-up show as we would like to them to enjoy the Fun Art experience too!

The Chinese word 范 (fàn or simply pronounced as ‘Fun’) refers to an appearance or a certain manner that is tasteful or stylish. It also means being an exemplar, or a role model. At Fun Art, we serve to unearth talented artists, feature quality art and help you uncover gems that you might have otherwise missed. We believe that beautiful art does not need to be unattainable or for the privileged few, and that art appreciation should not be plagued with jargons. In our diverse, meticulously-curated selection, you will be able to find works of art that speak to you, that is in tune with your unique taste and style, and have a great deal of fun along the way.
